Telly Awards Announced

Collaborating with cast and crew-members from Tulsa, and other parts of Oklahoma, a short fiction film That Time in My Life, and 2 TV Commercials, Joey Goes to the Opera, and Joey Goes to the Opera - Little Prince, have won Telly Awards.

That Time in My Life wins in the "Social Impact" category. The film, is produced by Russ Kirkpatrick & Andy Kinslow, Co-Produced by Wendy Parker & Sha'ree Green, and Written/Directed by Nicholas Szabo. The film, inspired by the work at Tulsa's Resonance Center for Women, profiles the organization's impact. "Helpless a month away from leaving prison, Alice gains insight from a mysterious visitor, illuminating her path forward in life." You can see the film, by clicking here: That Time in My Life

An abandoned city jail was used as one of the two locations for the film. The second was the Take 2 Restaurant, a part of Resonance Center for Women.

The film was shot over two days in Tulsa. Post-production services were handled in Tulsa, with Composer McKeever Arnold creating the score, in Oklahoma City.

That Time In My Life was produced in coordination with the Tulsa Film Office.

Joey Goes to the Opera is the title for a media campaign created by Kirkpatrick & Kinslow, for Tulsa Opera and its "Season of Inclusion."

The first commercial wins in the "Diversity & Inclusion" category. The commercial features an amazing interracial couple, played by actors Kyle Gallien & Phena Hackett, taking their son "Joey", played by Kaiden Short, to the opera.

The commercial campaign was filmed over the course of two days in Tulsa, on the University of Tulsa campus and at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. Post-production services were handled in Oklahoma City.

Joey Goes to the Opera - Little Prince is the second commercial in the three-part "Joey Goes To The Opera" campaign. The TV commercial wins in the "Art Direction" category.

"Joey", "Sally" and her two dads head to the opera.

In this commercial, "Sally" & her two fathers join "Joey" at the opera. The costumes were designed for the actors, based on the Little Prince opera characters. The small plane was created by a Tulsa based firm that creates props for Hollywood movies.
