Documentary about Tulsa's Oktoberfest planned

Tulsa-based Kirkpatrick & Kinslow Productions LLC has signed a production agreement with Tulsa Oktoberfest Inc. to produce and direct a feature documentary film profiling the festival’s humble beginnings, according to a news release.

Tulsa Oktoberfest was judged to be the No. 1 U.S. Oktoberfest celebration in USA Today’s 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards.

The event started on the east bank of the Arkansas River near downtown Tulsa in 1979.

Details of the production and timeline are not being released.

Kirkpatrick & Kinslow Productions is an international Emmy Award-winning film production company that produces feature-length movies, documentaries and content for TV.

Tulsa Oktoberfest is an authentic celebration of Bavarian culture that is patterned after the original München Oktoberfest. Tulsa Oktoberfest Inc. is a nonprofit organization with a mission to produce a celebration of German culture that will benefit Tulsa and its River Parks.
